Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is a famous place of Westminster in London. Its name is due to the battle between the Franco-Spanish fleets and British fleets in 1805.
Trafalgar Square was designed by architect John Nash in 1820. Begun in 1829, the famous square was completed in the 1840s, when Charles Barry's leveled and built the north terrace of the National Gallery.

On this site you will find several embassies like South Africa House, or Mayalsia House, and canada House.
There is also the famous National Gallery, one of the most important museums in London, or the Anglican church St Martin-in-the-Fields.
We find also a statue of King Jacques II, dressed as an emperor by the sculptor Pierre van Dievoet. At the center of the square are placed two monumental fountains, lit by LEDs of different colors... awesome !
