Rochester Cathedral

Rochester Cathedral, or Church of Christ and the Virgin Mary, is a Norman church located in Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom.

It was founded by Justus of Canterbury in the early 7th century. As the first bishop of Rochester, Canterbury had just received approval by the King of Kent Æthelberht to create a church dedicated to St. Andrew the Apostle.

The cathedral hosted a group of
secular priests and was endowed with land near the town called Priestfield.

For this visit, we had a walkman that explained to us almost all the history of every corner of the cathedral. I admit it was difficult to follow to the end because the women who recorded the explanations spoke and apoke without a break.. !
